Plain terms for the media we deliver, the platform you use, and the marks we own. No fine-print surprises.

You get a license
Order delivered media comes with a broad, perpetual license to market the property it was created for.
We hold copyright
LYSTO and its photographers retain copyright to the underlying work, as is standard for commissioned photography.
Use it anywhere
MLS, your website, social, print, email — anywhere your listing and brand live. No attribution required.
01 / Delivered media
Photos, video, tours & floor plans
When your order is paid in full, LYSTO grants you (the commissioning agent or brokerage) a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, and royalty-free license to use the delivered media to market the specific property it was created for. This license cannot be revoked for properties you have paid for.
- Publish to MLS, your website, and listing portals
- Share on social media, email, and print collateral
- Use in your personal and brokerage branding for the listing
- Resize, crop, or color-adjust for fit (without altering the property)
- Keep using the media after the property sells
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the raw or edited files
- Claim authorship or copyright of the photography
- Use the media for a different property or a stock library
- Misrepresent a property (e.g. edit out material defects)
- Transfer the license to another agent without written consent
Outstanding balances: media delivered before full payment is licensed for preview only. The full license activates automatically once the order is paid.
02 / Ownership
Copyright & authorship
As is standard for commissioned real estate photography, LYSTO and its contributing photographers retain copyright and ownership of the underlying creative work. You receive a generous license to use it — not a transfer of copyright.
We may use anonymized or property-anonymized media in our own portfolio, marketing, and case studies. If you would prefer a listing be excluded, email info@lysto.ca and we will honor the request.
03 / Platform
Platform & software
The LYSTO platform — including the website, client portal, ordering system, galleries, and all associated software — is the proprietary property of LYSTO / SoftX. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to access and use the platform to manage your orders, subject to our Terms of Service.
You agree not to copy, reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or build a competing service from any part of the platform, and not to circumvent access controls or paywalls.
04 / Brand
Brand & trademarks
The LYSTO name, logo, logomark, and wordmark are trademarks of LYSTO / SoftX. You may reference LYSTO truthfully (for example, “Photography by LYSTO”) but may not use our marks in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, or co-branding without written permission.

05 / Acknowledgements
Open-source software
LYSTO is built on the shoulders of the open-source community. We gratefully use software including Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, Prisma, and many others, each under its respective license (typically MIT or Apache-2.0). Their licenses do not extend to LYSTO's own proprietary code or the media we deliver.
